Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ETA Signal collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to write it plainly. If anything is unclear, email [email protected].

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and any name or login identity you provide. We use it to create and secure your account.
• Billing information. Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store your full payment card number. We keep a record of your plan, purchases, and Stripe customer reference.
• Content you provide. Your buy-box and investment thesis, the deals you track, and any documents you upload for analysis (such as a CIM). Uploaded documents are processed by our AI provider (Amazon Bedrock) to produce the analysis you asked for.
• Usage & device data. With your consent, product analytics (PostHog) records how the site is used — pages viewed, features used, and basic device/browser information — so we can improve it.
• Advertising & referral data. With your consent, we record which ad or link brought you here (campaign tags and ad-network click identifiers) so we can measure our advertising. We store this against your account if you sign up, to understand which channels bring real customers.

Cookies and similar technologies

We group cookies into three categories:

• Essential — needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your cookie choices. These are always on and don’t require consent.
• Analytics — PostHog, to understand product usage. Off until you accept.
• Advertising — measurement tools from the ad networks we advertise on (which may include Google, Meta, Reddit, and X) so we can tell which ads work. Off until you accept.

Nothing in the Analytics or Advertising categories runs until you accept it. You can change your mind at any time:

How we use information

• To provide the product — your account, deal flow, valuations, and analysis.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
• With your consent, to measure and improve our advertising.
• To communicate with you about your account and support requests.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it with the service providers that run ETA Signal on our behalf, only as needed to provide the service:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Stripe — payments and billing.
• Amazon Web Services (incl. Bedrock) — hosting and the AI that analyzes documents you upload.
• PostHog — product analytics (only with your consent).
• Advertising networks — Google, Meta, Reddit, and X, for advertising measurement (only with your consent).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we’re required to keep it (for example, billing records for tax and accounting).

Your choices and rights

• Accept or reject Analytics and Advertising cookies at any time, using the control above.
• Access, correct, or delete your account information by emailing us.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Florida Digital Bill of Rights or the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, and opt out. We honor these requests — email us to make one.

Children

ETA Signal is a business tool not intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes that require fresh consent will re-prompt you.
